Honey Alexander was the former Tennessee first lady from 1978-1987 Born on October 12th, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of Frank and Bette Jo Simpson Buhler
She graduated with a degree in American studies from Smith College. She later joined the Washington DC staff, where she met her future husband Lamar Alexander and married 18 months later.
