It is well known that he had held the post of MLA more than three times in a constituency in Arunachal Pradesh. His brother is the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Kandu. His brother Pema Kandu, after paying tribute to him, tweeted as follows, “Demise of brother Shri Jambey Tashi Ji, Hon MLA of Lumla Assembly Constituency is a huge personal loss to me, and I am so deeply pained at this tragedy.
