Legendary Motocross racer Andre Malherbe passed away at his home yesterday, November 24. He was 66 years at the time of his demise. His family confirmed the news of his death. 

Who is Andre Malherbe?

Born on March 21 1956, and son of motorcycle dealer Andre Malherbe was a Belgian motocross racer. There needs to be more information regarding his personal life. 

He got his racing license in 1973. He became a world champion when he won his first world title in 1980. He is known as the three-time FIM 500cc motocross world champion. 

Throughout his career, he has won over 41 races. At his retirement, he was placed fourth on the all-time winners’ list. In 1988 during the Paris to Dakar rally, Andre suffered a severe spinal injury which rendered him paralyzed. 

Sadly the former racer passed away on November 24 at his home. He was 66 years at the time of his demise. However, the case of his death is not known.
