A 25-year-old man, Shawntta, is accused of murder in relation to a deadly shooting in southwest Louisville.
When Police arrest Shawntta Young?
Shawntta Young, age 25, was detained by the Louisville Metro Police Department on Monday. Young is accused of murder, assault, wanton endangerment, and having a weapon while a criminal in prison. The shooting that took place on 4th December 2022 in the 2100 block of Cardinal Woods Drive, according to the Police, implicated Young.
Police were called at 11 PM to a gunshot on that block. On arrival, they discovered a male who had been deadly shot, and Shawntta is suspected of it. One more victim, a lady, suffered a single bullet wound in the incident. The woman was taken to UofL Hospital to receive medical attention for her wound.
The aftermath of Young’s arrest:
According to an arrest sheet, the woman was informed that Shawntta was under house arrest in the flat upstairs of the building. Then, after seeing surveillance footage, she managed to recognize him.
Furthermore, the slip also states that a detective checked Shawntta’s location history and found that he had beeps in the vicinity when the shooting occurred. LMPD’s Fugitive Unit apprehended young on Monday in the 1000 block of Royal Gardens Court, not far from the shooting scene.
