How did Willie J. Campell’s die?

Willie was diagnosed with a rare disease called ALS, i.e., Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. It’s a disease in which the nerve cells are affected, responsible for movement in the body. For a long time, Willie was the bassist in the James Harman band and Fabulous Thunderbirds. 

He left his fellow mates in sorrow. Jimi Bott considered himself his elder brother and appealed to the people to take care of his wife, Lisa, and his daughters, Saira and Simone. 

Willie revealed his illness through his Facebook post from August 2022. The Proven Ones was his last record.

Who was Willie J. Campell?

Willie was a long-time performer and composer in his band, The James Harman Band and Fabulous Thunderbirds. He loved music and considered it to be his part of life. 

His love for music and this industry increased after moving to South California. He was very ambitious as far as his music was concerned and listened to legendary artists like BB King, Albert King, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, etc.

Willie J. Campell’s Cause of Death: 

Willie was suffering from a rare disease ALS which hindered his movement and affected his nervous system. “I got another record in me” was Willie’s statement to Kid Ramos when he was diagnosed with ALS. Since The Proven Ones was the last record on Willie’s list, it was released as “William J. & Friends.” 

Willie has performed with many renowned groups in his career. Some of them were The Blues Giants, The Mannish Boys, etc. More than 300 combined experts were a part of such bands.
