Laura Juliet Kuenssberg was born on 8th August 1976 in Rome, Italy. By profession, she is a British journalist. She succeeded Nick Robinson as political editor at the BBC in July 2015 and is the first woman to hold the position. She has previously served as the BBC’s chief political correspondent and was the first business editor of ITV News.
In March 2022 it was announced that she would be replacing Andrew Marr, in a full-time role, as the host of BBC One’s flagship Sunday morning politics show, starting in September 2022.

Laura is a British-born journalist. She is the daughter of Nick and Sally Kuenssberg. Her elder sister Joanna Kuenssberg. She worked for local radio and then cable television in Glasgow, before joining BBC North East and Cumbria in March 2000 as a trainee journalist.
