According to law enforcement sources who spoke with TMZ on 23 April, the TikTok star was discovered at her apartment on Saturday evening by a friend who had the key. According to reports, Evans’ companion denied knowing that she was having mental health issues, and a note indicating as much was found in her belongings.
The news of the influencer’s death was announced by Lila, Evans’ sister, on Instagram on April 21. Along with praising her sister and detailing the terrible news, Lila included a photo of Evans in a colorful dress and smiling in the post’s text.
She pleaded with readers to help spread the word by sharing the post. “My lovely sister Eva, who was so wonderful to us all—sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, and hilarious—passed away yesterday. The news was devastating to our family.”
By saying, “After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news,” Lila continued to openly discuss her pain and express her support for Evans’ followers.
On April 23, she announced, “a celebration of Eva” will take place in Manhattan’s lower east side. She also let her followers know that they may send her a message if they wanted further information about the event.
Finally, Lila acknowledged in her post how much she adores and longs for her sister. She went on to say that while she’s busy arranging the Evans party, she’s stepping away from social media.
Eva would have better words and know how to convey what I don’t, therefore I wish she were here today to refer to, she wrote. You will hear a lot more from me about how much Eva means to me and how different the world will be without her. I am keeping this quick so we can plan for the next few days, but trust me, it will be worth it.
