Xi Xi, passed away in a hospital in Hong Kong early Sunday morning surrounded by family and friends.

How did Xi XI die?

Xi xi has been one of the most loved names in Sinophone literature for six decades. She has published more than 30 books. These books included fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and screenplay. Xi Xi died on Sunday (18/12/2022) due to heart failure at a Hong Kong hospital. 

According to the Plain leaves publisher, Xi Xi lived a life of meaning and was a wonderful person. Her writings were so creative that they gave life to lifeless objects and made people think differently. It gave a fairy tale twist to monotonous events; such was the power of her writing.

Xi Xi’s cause of death:

Hong Kong singer Xi Xi died at 85 on Sunday I.e; Dec 18, 2022. One of her colleagues shared the news of her death on Twitter. Later the Hong Kong AFP channel confirmed this news. Before becoming a writer, Xi Xi was a Farm Road Government Primary School teacher. 

Kevin Yeung, Hong Kong’s culture minister, expressed her sorrow and said that Xi Xi devoted her life to literature and teaching young talents. She was always appreciated for getting Hong Kong a place on the map of the literary world.

What happened to Xi Xi?

Xi Xi’s real name was Cheung Yin. She was born in 1937 and adopted this pen name. “My City,” her breakthrough novel, was published in 1975 and illustrated urban life. Her death shocked everyone, and a very talented literary artist was no more. On Sunday, the news started screening on different news channels of Cheung Yin’s death. 

Earlier the cause of her death was not disclosed in the media. Later, the doctors confirmed that heart failure was the reason behind her death. She will always remain alive in our hearts through her incredible writings and books.
