Amanda Toro was a Canadian student who died on October 12, 2012. Her case of death got famous on the internet because of the irony it holds. It was the case of cyberbullying, which was vividly occurring in different parts of the country but had never been one of the topics. But this case opened up everyone’s eye, and people became more aware of this cyberbullying stuff and started taking these things more seriously.

Amanda Toro is a normal high school-going student. She was born on November 27, 1996. She was an extrovert and free-spirited person. She was quite socially active on her social media pages. She was known on social media. She had been bullied on social media several times for various reasons.
It leads to depression and suicidal thoughts in her. The case has taken a significant road of her sudden suicide that she attempted after all the bullying continued. She has been harassed, extorted, and a victim of personal attacks. She couldn’t be able to take those things on herself and, at last, choose death for herself. It is still significant social learning for the people who keep bullying people or criticizing people on the basis they look, dress, appear or do in general.
Amanda’s personal life:
There is nothing that has been reported to the sources about her life. Although, how much we know is on social media, which she put herself on. Before attempting suicide, she uploaded a 9-minute video on her YouTube channel about how, why, and the reason for doing this thing.
People got to know about suicide through that. Her close friends and family members were devastated by her news of death. In these types of cases, you really can’t catch a particular guilty person. The person responsible for this is eventually those who continue bullying and personal harm to her without any shame.
The British Columbia premier Christy issued a statement which stated that every school should teach about this cyberbullying.
And should make children aware of that stuff. Because just because you can’t catch a person in these types of cases, those people keep doing cyber bullying without any fear. So it should be important for people to be more aware and educated about these things.
