Bobbie Faye Ferguson, the mother of Jay R. Ferguson, star of The Conners, has recently died at the age of 78.
Bobbie’s son representative at Industry Entertainment made the announcement public on July 22, 2022. Bobbie, who was a resident of Sherman Oaks, was said to have passed away of natural causes last month. Her memorial service will be conducted in Los Angeles, California, on August 20, 2022. Donations can be made by her followers and friends of the family through the Los Angeles Mission’s website.

Bobbie Faye Ferguson, who was born on October 10, 1943, spent her formative years in the little town of Eudora, Arkansas, before moving on to complete her education at the University of Arkansas in Monticello. She taught debate and oratory at Dallas’ Skyline High School. She also co-founded and taught acting classes at KD Studio.
At a later date, Bobbie moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. The Fall Guy, The Dukes of Hazzard, Remington Steele, and more all featured her on their casts. While her son played the role of Taylor Newton, the on-screen son of Bobbie and Marilu Henner’s characters, she played a pivotal role in the production of Evening Shade.
