Obituary and cause of death of Humberto Rubin
Paraguayan Journalist and radio announcer, Humberto Rubin, passed away recently. Rubin was considered an icon in the Paraguayan press. He was also one of the most prestigious historians of recent Paraguayan history.

He started his career in broadcast journalism in the late 1950s at just the age of 14. During that time, reporters had to find the closest phone and transmit the news via radio or newspaper to convey it to the masses.
Later, he worked as an entertainer and Television presenter for most of the radio channels of that time, like Caritas, Stentor, and Emisoras Paraguayo.
Next, he traveled to Montevideo in Uruguay and worked at Radio Carve.4 for the next few years. When television service started in Uruguay, he was the first person to appear on Channel 10, Saeta of Montevideo. During that time, he also worked with Juan Casanovas.
Afterward, he returned to his country and was made in charge of the direction of radio and communications until 1962.

Rubin was also greatly interested in theatrics and was a member of various theater groups.
Later, he assembled his theater cast and acted on works of many world-renowned writers. Some of his works include ‘El Conejo es una Mujer’ and ‘La Tía de Carlos’.
