Who was Katy Skerl?
A Seventeen-year-old Katy Skerl lived in Rome, Italy. Her mother was murdered in January of 1984 when she was just 17 years old.
A magnificent photograph was taken of Sarah and her friends demonstrating in front of the Education Ministry early one spring morning. They were the most exciting and fulfilling years of her life, but they were also the last. Katy “Caterina” Skerl’s father is Peter Skerl.
A young woman’s body was found in a vineyard near Grottaferrata with a shattered spine and signs of having been strangled with a bag strap. Her name is Katy Skerl, but everyone calls her Caterina. She attends the Ponte Flaminio FGCI location and the Liceo Artistico Giulio Romano in Rome, where her father teaches (the Italian Communist Youth Federation).
Similar to Mirella Gregori and Emanuela Orlandi, the daughter of a pontifical courier, Katy vanished without a trace on June 22 of that year. The latter disappeared on a Saturday, eight months before Caterina did. In contrast to Katy, however, their remains have never been located.

Her father, Peter Skerl, is a filmmaker and Swiss artist of Italian heritage. He collaborated closely with Ingmar Bergman in the production of The Shame and The Hour of the Wolf. By osmosis, he has taken on the master’s gloomy aesthetic, which Hollywood scorned.
His ex-wife and their children, Marco and Caterina, moved into number 54 on Via Isidoro del Lungo after he departed Rome in 1984. She is known as Katy by her loved ones and continues her study at the Liceo Artistico on Via Giulio Romano. Blonde, attractive, and tenacious, this 17-year-old has already applied to universities.
