Misael Sanchez, a football player, died of injuries weeks ago.
This Monday, nearly 15 days back, following the tournament and struggle in the discussion, Misael Sanchez was killed in a massive mid-game street fight.
The footballer, 29, died recently due to the damage sustained during the game. The game took place on July 10.
As per the authorities, Misael Sanchez died following an on-field brawl that erupted over a referee’s decision on July 10 tournament between adult sports teams, according to the reports. Oxnard is a port town located about an hour west of L.a.
Sanchez was among many teams participating in the brawl sparked by a penalty call. According to the Oxnard Law Enforcement, there was confusion, which led to the conflict.
Sanchez was therefore severely beaten, and by the time the first emergency personnel arrived, he was uncommunicative and lying on the ground.
He was then airlifted to Ventura County Memorial Hospital, which was listed in an authoritarian state. Presently, two weeks later, he has died.
A postmortem is scheduled for Tuesday, July 26, and the cause of his death is still to be confirmed.
Sanchez was an athlete. Law enforcement agencies revealed that they had arrested him on suspicion of rechargeable batteries. However, the investigation is ongoing.
According to police, they are “still looking for eyewitness accounts or who may have video recorded all or part of the fight.”
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has arranged a post-mortem for Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
