A teenager died during a school trip to Europe when teachers rejected his condition as homesickness.

Timothy Fehring, 15, was a student. His class was going on a school trip back in the summer of 2019. he requested his teacher to skip it, but his request got rejected by the school staff.
The teen vomited up in a bin upon landing in Berlin, Germany, on June 23, which was ascribed by his teacher to a response to salty foods supplied on the plane, according to the investigator’s conclusions.
Timothy, a student at Blackburn High School, suffered from abdominal pains the next day. His teacher gave him Paracetamol.
He threw instead and was thought of “feeling the consequences of drowsiness, unfamiliar cuisine, temperature, and weather change.”
He got ill into a trash bin once more on his drive to the restaurant that night, but he had texted his mother stating he was confident he would recover and was thinking about new meals he could have. At that point, both guardians felt he was homesick.
His mother informed one of the teachers that the family doctor had advised Timothy to take a pill to control acid reflux.
He was “far from other kids by this stage, partially because they didn’t want to catch whatever sickness he was carrying, and partly because he wasn’t as cheery as he had been.”
He was transported to a pharmacist and given a few required medications, which he took before getting ready for bed as he hadn’t eaten meals.
And the day after it, June 26, Timothy pleaded with his mother to take him home and complained that his teacher didn’t understand that he was suffering.
