A couple was jailed for four and half years for Jack Lis’s death Case
In 2021, on 8th November, an unfortunate incident happened where a dog killed a ten-year-old boy named Jack. After that, her family filed a case against the dog owner, and finally, two days back, the Court released the final decision that the couple accepted the case, and they were sent back to jail for four and half years.
What happened on that day:
A CCTV video came to the public where the couple was seen with the dog roaming outside a store. In the days following the attacks on Jack, the dog issues and ideas at several people, including children, in Penyrheol. From that video, it was seen that the owner, Hydren, struggled a lot to control the dog. When Jack returned to the house not long after, he rubbed Beast’s head, but the dog lunged at him and pushed him to the floor, according to the Court.
He then proceeded to assault the youngster. One of their neighbors, Kirk Wiebold, heard some sound and guessed what was going wrong at that time; he quickly wasn’t there and found that Jack was attacked by using a pane of glass. Hayden also came to that place, but after seeing all that happening, he was nervous, and as soon as the police arrived, he left that place. Police next informed Jack’s parents that Jack was no more.
Court Decision on this case:
After police started investigating this case, Jack’s parents had already filed a case against the dog owner. After that, the police arrested both of them. The judge said the death of Jack was very painful and unfortunate. Also, he added some of his words by saying, You were present when the dog was hostile, and you knew the decision to keep the dog was completely irresponsible, in my opinion.
Also, he told Hayden that you already knew that your god had an issue, so why did you not inform him earlier? This was not good for other dogs too. After judging all the evidence, seeing all the CCTV footage and videos, and recording relatives’ and neighbors’ statements, the judge decided that the couple was sent to jail as they accepted it was their fault for four and half years.
