KK died only hours after singing for nearly an hour for a concert at Nazrul Mancha, which Vivekananda College, Kolkata, organized. After the event, KK returned and checked into a hotel. From there, he began to feel uncomfortable and felt strange. After some time, he promptly fainted and was taken to the CMRI hospital. KK died of what appeared to be a heart attack. KK was rushed to the CMRI private hospital in Alipore.

The time was almost 10 pm. Unfortunately, he died before the doctors began to start his treatment. Doctors at the hospital recognized cardiac arrest as the cause of death due to which he was feeling heavy and dizzy and also collapsed. As per PTI reports, a post-mortem will be performed on Wednesday to determine the actual cause of death.

KK started his career by singing commercial jingles before making his cinematic breakthrough with A.R. Rahman music. He has sung songs in many Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, and Odia. KK rose to prominence among young people with the release of his debut album, ‘Pal,’ in 1999.
