Nicola Cross, age 37, was found dead in her home in September 2015. A man named Marcin Porczynski stabbed her inside her own home one dreadful night.
Cross is the ex-wife of IT expert and founder of the StrongMen bereavement support organization Daniel Cross, also known as Dan Cross. Marcin Porczynski was a complete stranger to Nicola Cross. He broke into Cross’ Grovehill Hemel’s home on September 14th, 2015.
After grabbing a heavy knife from the kitchen, Porczynski headed upstairs. He first used a small knife, which he promptly discarded, before switching to a larger one. Then he entered the bedroom and stabbed Cross over ten times, as Cross bravely defended her children.
Although Porczynski did not harm Nicola Cross’s children, he was responsible for their mother’s tragic death due to a severe injury. Work obligations kept Dan Cross away from home during the assault.
Nicola had gotten in touch with Dan after the crazy Porczynski had broken into their home. Then Dan heard some of the terrible experiences. He could only stand there and listen while Nicola pleaded with the killer over the phone. A short time later, the phone line went dead.
When the dust settled, Porczynski was hit with manslaughter charges. The killer claimed that he was compelled to “rescue” the abused children. The diagnosis of schizophrenia was confirmed for Porczynski after extensive testing.
Who is Marcin Porczynski?
Nicola Cross was brutally murdered by a Polish auto technician named Marcin Porczynski. He was born in Poland and settled not far from Cross’s place.
Schizophrenia, a mental disorder characterized by distorted beliefs about the world, was found to be the cause of Porczynski’s symptoms. Due to his illness, he often had hallucinations, delusions, and skewed perceptions. On the other hand, the manifestations of this illness may vary widely from one individual to the next.
After being stopped and searched by police, Porczynski broke into Nicola Cross’s house. Three weeks before stabbing Nicola, Marcin began acting abnormally. In fact, he and his friends had been discussing these fictitious happenings at length.
Killing Nicola, Porczynski reasoned that he had spared the children, who were starving, from his wrath. When police stopped Marcin, he tested positive for both cocaine and marijuana. However, such an issue had nothing to do with the assault.
