Judith Barsi, a famous child actress who rose to fame in the 1980s, had a famous mother named Maria Virovacz Barsi. In a tragic turn of events, Judith’s father shot and killed his daughter and her boyfriend.
It has been 34 years since Maria Virovacz and her actress daughter Judith Barsi was killed by Maria’s husband Jozsef. Before he finally killed Maria and their kid, he regularly abused them and threatened them with death.
This date in 1988 marks the occurrence of the incident. But on July 27 there was an explosion, and everyone assumed that Judith’s father had killed her and her mother. As everyone knew, he had threatened to kill his own family.
About Maria Virovacz Barsi and her daughter
Maria spent her early years in Hungary but left after the country was annexed by the Soviet Union in 1957. She relocated to Hollywood since she was a fan of the silver screen and wanted to be closer to her idols.
As a result, Judith Barsi’s vision became a reality. Maria’s dream was for her daughter to pursue a career in the theatre. At a young age, she began instructing her in social graces including polite conversation and upright bearing.
Judith also had an early commercial appearance. It was a terrific way to launch her acting career. Subsequently, she appeared in a number of commercials before landing a role on the hit TV show Cheers.
She went on to star in several other films after her initial success, such as All Dogs Go to Heaven and Jaws: The Revenge.
Both Judith and Maria Virovacz Barsi were murdered by their son Jozsef on July 25, 1988. It is widely believed that Jozsef was an abusive parent and spouse, mistreating Maria and Judith on numerous occasions. The anger and alcoholism were both problems for him.
The man also told his friends that he planned to kill his wife. In spite of this, his acquaintances would often use the narrative of his daughter to persuade him. One of his friends, Kivlen, talked about it in a recent interview.
“If you kill your kid, what will happen to her?” remarked Kivlen. Jozsef’s response was really unsettling.” I want to kill her too,” he allegedly said Kivlen. After threatening to torch his home, he went through and killed his wife and children.
On July 27, 1988, a neighbour heard an explosion. The neighbour was sure the man had killed his family. Nonetheless, credible reports indicate that they perished two days ago.
Before taking his own life, Jozsef doused everyone in kerosene. For a long time, everybody around here assumed that Judith was the resident ghost.
