Russia rents Baikonur from Kazakhstan, and it was there that a woman named Alina Tseliupa and a British YouTube travel blogger named Bald and Bankrupt were detained.
Their arrest was made public by the director of Roscosmos on Telegram, and word quickly circulated over the internet. Due to Benjamin Rich’s frequent visits to hostile regions for his YouTube channel, he has been imprisoned. The British star has been uploading films to his channel from risky locales since 2018.
Due to Alina’s illegal entry into a Russian-controlled Kazakh spaceport, she was arrested. Alina and her husband, the British YouTuber Benjamin Rich, were also arrested.
Baikonur, located around 1,100 kilometres (680 miles) southwest of Kazakhstan’s capital Nur-Sultan, is where Alina and the YouTuber were jailed.
Photos of Rich’s visa and Tseliupa’s passport were uploaded online by Rogozin, who claims that local law enforcement is currently investigating “the exact level of engagement in unlawful action” on the part of the two men.
They were captured at Baikonur Cosmodrome Site 112 and transported to a nearby police station. Since they were discovered after committing a crime, authorities are investigating them. Alina Adizka is a civil engineer at an established European firm based in Prague.
Charges on Alina Tseliupa
Alina Tseliupa and YouTuber Benjamin Rich attempted to enter a restricted area near Site No. 112 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
