The death of Silawan murder accused Renato Llenes has brought the investigation to a conclusion, but justice for Christine Lee Silawan has yet to be served. Christine Lee Silawan, 16, has not received genuine justice following the death of her suspected killer.
Renato Llenes’ death has merely removed his criminal responsibilities, closing the Silawan investigation. Prosecutor Ruso Zaragoza stated that it is sad that they have been unable to declare that justice has been done because the accused died, and he has been found not guilty in court via the legal procedure.
Cristine Lee Silawan Murder Case-
Christine Lee Silawan, a 16-year-old girl, was found stabbed to death in an empty area in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Her body was found in a state over and above identification, with much of her face peeled to the head and many knife wounds. She had also been assaulted and was found undressed from the waist down. An unnamed boyfriend committed this brutal crime.
This guy allegedly created a bogus Facebook profile to mislead her into contacting him. The accused had appeared as just another guy on Facebook, attempting to date her. These reports were out and were according to investigators. According to a medical examination, it was reported that the tongue sections of her neck and right ear were missing, and the suspect would have stabbed them out.
Due To the Death of The Suspect, The Case Remains Unresolved-
Renato Llenes confessed that he had committed this brutal crime, was arrested by the police, and presented before the court. As a result of Renato Llenes’ death, the Silawan investigation has been closed. Llenes was caught and confessed to the murder in April 2019.
He was discovered dead inside the comfort area of his custody prison at the Lapu-Lapu City Jail on May 24, after allegedly committing himself. Because the court has determined that Llenes were guilty of the girl’s horrific murder on March 11, 2019, the court has stated that the case will be ended with Llenes’ death.
