Siddhant Kapoor, a well-known famous actor, a popular DJ, and four others were arrested under the NDPS Act in the following weeks while they were partying at a prominent hotel’s nightclubs. They were also freed on station bail on Tuesday after police decided they did not have a controlled substance.
“It’s an important question of consumption,” says the speaker. Usually, we do not investigate the suspect in custody in consuming cases since it would be against the law. We’re sending them notifications to encourage them to participate in investigations so we can find the peddlers fully. “This is the uniformed stand, and it should not be different just because he is a celebrity,” a senior Bengaluru police official stated.
Day after arrest, Siddhanth Kapoor and 4 others were released on bail.
