Jim had worked for General Motors Lordstown for the better part of three decades. He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1964. He was a devout follower of the Catholic religion, and use to enjoy attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, woodcrafts, cars, gambling, and motorcycling. He was also a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports teams.
During the conflict in Vietnam, James served his country in the United States Air Force. Susan Waldman Trunick, whom he had married on May 2, 1990, and who passed away on August 9, 2014, was his wife. His daughter Christine Dorma and her husband Joseph of Cortland, his son James Trunick and his wife Kathleen of Warren, his brother Don Trunick of Niles, his sister Karen Glade and her husband Steve of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, his seven grandchildren Sydnie, Alexa, Nicholas, Jimmy, Max, Madelynne, and Skylar, and his two step-children Kimberly Anderson and her husband Nathan of Loveland, Ohio and Eric Lundgren and his wife Pamela of Bellville, Michigan.
