Delhi Police registered a case against BJP party leader Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jeedal, Saba Naqvi, and Maulana Mufti Nadeem under various sections for spreading hate between People.
Who is Nupur Sharma – Her Education, Political Journey-
Nupur Sharma is a famous Politician and a lawyer also. She was born on 23rd April 1985 in New Delhi. Till June this year, she was the National Spokesperson for BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). She graduated from Delhi University with an economics subject later; she completed her law degree from the same University. During her college days, she also won the student president election in 2008.
Talking about her political Journey after coming back from London in 2013, she joined the BJP party in Delhi. After that, in 2015, she contested the Delhi Assembly election against Arvind Kejriwal, but unfortunately, she lost that time. In the year 2020, she was appointed as National Spokesperson.
Why did the BJP High command suspend Nupur Sharma?
Last month Nupur Sharma went to a Television News Channel debate show, where she remarked on the derogatory tone triggered by the people of West and South Asia countries. After that, people filed complaints and FIR in various police stations regarding this matter. And after that, it was official that an FIR was registered against Nupur Sharma by Delhi Police. After her statement, spreading hate between people, became public, the BJP party’s high command decided to suspend Nupur Sharma. Also, she was removed from her post as National Spokesperson for the BJP party.
Deputy Police Commissioner KPS Malhotra said that the investigation is going on, and they have already sent notices to the various social media intermediates. He also added that the team would send more notice of the continuing investigation. The investigation team also investigated and checked the leader’s past social media posts. Besides Nupur Sharma, many more leaders were present in the FIR. Police said a stick action would be taken against all of them.
