After eight years together, Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser have decided to live separately.
At the Putnam County Supreme Court in New York, Kartheiser filed for divorce from Gilmore Girls star Rory Gilmore on August 10. The couple married in 2014, a year after Kartheiser proposed.
Initially meeting on the set of Mad Men, where their characters had an on-screen romance, but they waited until filming was over before pursuing a real-life romance. The actor told Us Weekly, “I’m a very lucky man,” after they got engaged.

A source told the outlet at the time that the couple married in a small, private ceremony in Ojai, California. Their goal was to create something beautiful and relaxed. There was nothing better than Ojai.
A baby boy was born to the couple in 2015. The couple managed to keep the birth of their son a secret until Bledel’s Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life co-star Scott Patterson accidentally spilled the beans.
At the time, Patterson, 63, told Glamor, “She’s really blossomed as a woman and is now a proud new mother with a husband and a happy family.” The two of us are comparing notes since my son is a year and a half older than hers. As I show her photos and videos, I explain what to expect. Basically, we’re having a great time with each other.”
Alexis Bledel announced this year that she would be leaving The Handmaid’s Tale after four seasons. According to Hulu, MGM, the cast and crew, and Bruce Miller for writing such truthful and resonant scenes for Emily.
