Zac Thompson, a resident of Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. he was having fun on the seashore in adjacent West Angle Bay with his older brother and cousin.

The children were reportedly washed into the water on Friday night, according to local media.

Zac needed to be rescued by a bystander while his brother and cousin managed to swim to the coast. According to witnesses, there were up to 20 cars at the location, which indicated a significant rescue reaction.

A minute of applause was extended during the Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Cricket Finals in honour of the Zac.

“The school also stated that Zac recently performed particularly in support  assisting the school in advancing to the area finals, which are scheduled to be contested this week.

Zac was quite vivacious. When he was in third grade and it was Superhero Day, I have a special memory of him.”

To help his bereaved family, his community created a Pembroke Dock JustGiving website and arrange thousands of dollar for his devastated family.

‘As a community we are surprised and grieved to learn of the abrupt and tragic demise of 11-year-old Zac Thompson yesterday,’ read one of the posts on the page.
